I-77 and US Rt. 50 Interchange Work Delayed

Parkersburg , WV - The prolonged traffic interruptions anticipated at the I-77 and US Rt. 50 interchange on Friday, October 3, 2003 , will not be seen until Monday, October 6, 2003 , according to George Shinsky , District Three Construction Engineer.

Bizzack, Inc., the prime contractor for the project, has advised that not only did inclement weather not allow the median to be prepared, but colder night time temperatures slowed paving production causing the grinding of the intersection and placing of wearing to be pushed back until Monday, October 6, 2003.

This delay will not affect the opening of the project (US Rt. 50) east and west bound to I-77, as the temporary crossover will be discontinued later today.

Motorists are reminded to choose alternate routes on Monday, if possible, as delays are expected to be lengthy.
