Corridor D delays at I-77 and US Rt. 50 interchange

Parkersburg , WV - West Virginia Division of Highways anticipates prolonged traffic interruptions at the I-77 and US Rt. 50 interchange on Friday, October 3, 2003 , according to George Shinsky , District Three Construction Engineer.

"Interruptions in traffic flow will be unavoidable due to the grinding of the intersection and the placing of wearing throughout the project." said Mike Cronin, Highway Engineer.

"Motorists are strongly encouraged to choose alternate routes, if available, as delays will be lengthy." Cronin added.

The temporary crossover currently being utilized by motorists traveling eastbound on US Rt. 50 will no longer be in place as of Thursday, October 2, 2003 when the project is opened east and westbound to I-77.

"By the end of the day on Friday, October 3, 2003 , motorists should be able to utilize the route east and westbound with little interruption, barring inclement weather or other unavoidable setbacks." said Cronin.
