Closure of Division Street for Corridor D overpass bridge work extended for one night

Parkersburg, WV — West Virginia Division of Highways, District Three, previously announced a scheduled closing of WV Rt. 14 north (Division Street) to facilitate the procedure of placing the I-beams for the new overpass at this location.

The work to set the beams is scheduled for Tuesday night, July 29, 2003 and Wednesday night, July 30, 2003. However, additional time is needed to complete the project. Therefore, the closure is also being scheduled to occur on Thursday night, July 31, 2003, weather permitting, according to Jim Winter, project engineer for the APD Juliana to ALT-14 contract.

Division Street (WV Rt. 14) will be closed at its intersection with Camden Avenue (WV Rt. 95) and at the intersection of Green Street. Division Street will be closed to through traffic between the hours of 9:00 o’clock p.m. and 6:00 o’clock a.m.

Motorists will need to allow for the additional travel time required to take an alternate route around the project area.
